“One of the greatest gifts is the ability to do what you love while serving others” - Doux Anni

I am Joyce Anne Smith. I am the proud owner of Doux Anni. I am a mother of 3 wonderful boys and a wife to the most supporting and loving husband. As a child I had the opportunity to bake alongside my mother. She enjoyed baking cakes and was well known in our Haitian community. Growing up, it was something I did to assist my late mother with the work load but, never had a passion for it. I eventually went on to nursing school and pursued a nursing career.

Doux Anni started right before my eldest son turned two. I was a stay-at-home mom and wanted to see if I still maintained the baking skills I learned from my mother. I baked a cake for my son’s party; however, it did not meet my standards. I was determined more than ever to be better. I began learning how to master fondant and a variety of flavors from my home kitchen. Doux Anni became official in 2016. The name Doux Anni which translate into “Sweet Anni” is a mixture of my middle name and a way to honor both my husband and late mother.

As head chef and proud owner of Doux Anni, all cakes and sweets are hand crafted by me and unique for each occasion and client. What drives my success is seeing the look of joy and satisfaction on the face of my clients when they see and taste my confections. I pride myself in going beyond my client’s requests and expectations. Doux Anni is not just a place to pick up cakes; it’s an experience that is memorable for all of life’s celebrations. We would be honored to create something special for you.
